Every one of us writes his family name his own way, taking into consideration the length, spelling and the meaning.
The most common and frequent in Lebanon are "Moukaddam" and "Moukaddem", where as the youth look for practicality and convenience by abbreviating (eliminating) the "O", the "U", the double "D" and even the "K".
Before discussing the writing techniques and styles I suggest to go back to the roots:
Are we Moukaddam or Moukaddem??
Moukaddam is when someone present you to the community and introduce you, and we believe that the Prophet Mohamad (صلعم) introduced our grand grand father saying "He is Al Moukaddam Sheikh Saad bin Obadah" when he stepped on to confront "Ras el Ghoul".
