Family :Al Moukaddam
Introduction
Origin : Descendents of the blessed Fatima the daughter of prophet Mohamed in

Saudi Arabia.

Their first out marching was with moslem campaigns in the 8th century to widen the Islam message over other tribes through Jordan ,Syria,Lebanon,Palestine,Egypt,Libya and Tunisia.
The first settlement for a branch of the Moukaddams was in Syria where occupied the coastal castles such as Almorkab and Alkhwaby and some of them still live there up to now.Another branch settled in North Lebanon where they occupied the castle of Eeal where others settled in South Lebanonin the sheeah territory in the valley of Jilo. Arriving in palestine a wild branch also left the campaign and settled in the cityof Nablos ; and up to history books and our knowledge the rest of the Moukaddams in the campaign were distributed in Egypt and north Africa in Tunisia.The bright point of that ancient march of the Moukaddams was besides spreading the Moslem message ,every where they were ; encouraged and helped in construction,education and prosperity. They shining deed was when most of the Moukaddams tribes accumulated and shared prince Salah Eddine in the great battle of the driving the crusaders out of jerusalem in palestine.

Briefing

In the end of 18th century one of the Moukaddam’s ancestors from Alkhawaby castle in Syria another from Eeal castle in North Lebanon ,both of them happened to be called Ahmad,arrived in Tripoli at the same time,got married and settled beginning the family history in the city of Tripoli during the Othmanite (turkish)occupation.Most of the moukaddams educated in law and

religion occupied high posts in the osmanite state.

That grand grand grand father Ahmad who moved from Syria was assigned as an adviser and instructor by the othmanite sultan for his son and the state in the region.His son Mohamad inherited all his father’s reponsabilities and when he died ,he was burried in the mosque of Beddawey castle,north of tripoli (that small castle has been built by a crusader called saint_bedwino)

Just before the first world war during the expantion of the othmanite(turkish)empire east –ward ,most of the Moukaddams where called to the military obligatory service.One of them joined the military school in constantinople(Istanbul)and graduated to reach the rank of commander.
That was Ameen abdulkader Moukaddem the brother of the widest branch of the Moukaddams in north Lebanon.Later and after world war one Ameen was appointed the governor of Zahleh and its territory Alboukaa ;and in 1936 he was elected a deputy in the first Lebanese parliament during the French occupation.He was the first Moukaddam in the lebanese parliament followed by his cousin Rached and Mayez .

Moukaddams in Lebanon count up to more than one thousand according to the last general meeting held in the valley of Jilo in the south in 1997 .
Now, besides the countries mentioned in the introduction,there is a respectable number of Moukaddams in Australia,mainly in the city of Sydney,USA,Canada,France and a few in Germany.Sooner or later,it is expected the Moukaddams will be all over the world calling for peace ,unity and love above all…

‎Mounir Moukaddem‎ The
great city of Tripoli, whose history is intimately linked to that of
the Moukaddems since 1250 A.D., has recognized one more of its famous
sons. "Al Allama (the scholar) Mounir Al-Moukaddem" is now the official
name of a street in a fast-growing residential area near the
International Fair, known as Al Damm Wal Farz.

This is the fifth
street to be named after one of our ancestors in Tripoli, and Tripoli
only! The oldest, "Zoukak Beit Al Moukaddem", established in the
1300's, is located in a classified historical neighborhood, Al
Mahatera, just below the Citadel of Tripoli.

The second, "Amin Al Moukaddem" street, lies parallel to Al Mina Road.

The third is named after "Farouk Al Moukaddem, and is behind City Hall.

The fourth, "Fadel Al Moukaddem" street, is in the International Fair area.

I
hope to see more revered members of our extended family, in Lebanon and
out, recognized and succeeding, as our forefathers once have.
